NaturEligo is looking for a mission-driven technical co-founder who wants to dedicate their skills to creating meaningful change in the world and is willing to build for long-term impact rather than short-term financial rewards.
As an early-stage startup, this is a founder-equity role. There will be no salary for an extended period, probably for 12+ months, depending on funding and business traction.

About NaturEligo
NaturEligo is building the "TripAdvisor + Trustpilot of sustainability.
Our mission is to help consumers identify sustainable businesses, products and services through a transparent, evidence-based sustainability rating AND to help sustainable businesses grow and differentiate against greenwashers.
We combine certifications, sustainability data, business evidence, expert validation, and user feedback into a single platform that makes sustainable choices easier and more trustworthy.
By increasing transparency and reducing greenwashing, we aim to accelerate the transition toward a healthier and more sustainable world.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Technical Co-Founder & CTO who can take ownership of the entire technology vision and architecture of NaturEligo.
This role goes far beyond coding.
You will be responsible for designing the technical foundation of the company, making key architectural decisions, and leading the development of a platform capable of handling complex sustainability data, ratings, recommendation systems, and AI-driven analysis.
You should be comfortable making high-level architecture decisions while remaining deeply hands-on during the MVP stage.

Frontend architecture and development

Security and scalability
You can design how all components of the system interact and scale together.
AI & Data Systems
Ideally, you have experience building sophisticated AI or machine-learning solutions.
Scoring algorithms
Classification systems
Knowledge graphs
Experience designing complex AI-powered systems is a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Architecture
Design and own the complete platform architecture
Define frontend, backend, database, AI, and infrastructure strategy
Build a scalable foundation capable of supporting future growth
Ensure security, performance, and reliability
Product Development
Build the MVP from the ground up
Develop web and mobile experiences
Create APIs and data pipelines
Iterate quickly based on user feedback
Sustainability Rating Platform
Build the technical framework behind NaturEligo's sustainability rating methodology
Design systems that aggregate and process sustainability information from multiple sources
Create scalable data structures capable of supporting future rating complexity
AI & Automation
Evaluate where AI creates genuine value
Design and implement AI-driven workflows
Develop intelligent systems that improve sustainability assessments and recommendations
Help shape the future evolution of NaturEligo's rating algorithms
Co-Founder Responsibilities
Shape company strategy alongside the CEO
Participate in fundraising discussions
Help recruit future technical team members
Contribute to key business decisions
