At Urban Connect, we are rethinking how companies move.
We build and operate a fully integrated mobility platform — from connected e-bikes and vehicles to proprietary smart parking and EV charging systems — all seamlessly orchestrated through software.
We are now looking for an exceptional intern to help us build and deploy the next generation of smart parking infrastructure in real-world environments.
Mobility and infrastructure are being rebuilt from the ground up.
Parking, charging, and access systems are becoming software-defined systems — and we are building them.
This is a chance to work on that transition — not just observe it.
Tasks
You will work directly with our COO and CTO at the intersection of hardware, software and operations, and take ownership of real projects:
* Help design and deploy next-gen smart parking & EV charging systems
* Work on live installations at large corporate sites (real users, real scale)
* Translate technical capabilities into real-world, operational solutions
* Support and partially own end-to-end project rollouts (planning → go-live)
* Analyse operational data and improve system performance
* Collaborate with engineers, partners, and major real estate operators
* Be on-site during pilots, testing and installations
👉 In short: you will build, deploy and improve systems that are actually used — not slides.
Requirements
Who we are looking for
* You are studying (or recently graduated in) Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or similar (ETH/EPFL preferred)
* You are curious about mobility, infrastructure, EV charging or smart systems
* You enjoy working at the interface of hardware, software and real-world deployment
* You think structurally and pragmatically — and like solving messy real-world problems
* You are comfortable taking ownership and responsibility early
* You communicate clearly and enjoy working with different stakeholders

Urban Connect is a multi-modal carbon-neutral mobility platform for corporates that offers an ecosystem of low-emission, shared vehicles. The platform provides companies with premium vehicles such as e-scooters, e-bikes, e-cargo bikes, e-cars, and an access to the public transport – with everything bookable via one app. In addition, the platform offers a climate cockpit where fleets’ residual emissions are tracked and offset. It also allows simple integration of client’s existing vehicle fleets to optimize the fleet composition, usage, and neutralize emissions. In this context, the platform helps companies build an optimized, carbon-neutral, cost-effective mobility mix for their employees.
