Instrument Integration Engineer (a)
Your tasks
* Ensure seamless cooperation between hardware and software components, driving integration activities throughout the entire lifecycle of the instrument
* Independently or with minimal support, plan, execute, and document integration activities such as feasibility studies, testing, and troubleshooting
* Develop and verify test methods for instrument testing, maintain and execute complex test cases, and ensure rigorous testing of instrument functionality
* Support and execute troubleshooting and root cause analysis for instrument issues.
* Apply statistical methods and data analysis using software tools to evaluate test results, identify trends and correlations, interpret findings, and generate reports that inform decision-making
* Act as the technical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Represent projects in internal meetings and collaborate with R&D teams at Roche to share domain knowledge and ensure alignment with project goals
* Foster a culture of open communication and collaboration, bringing fresh ideas to the table, encouraging innovation, and supporting continuous improvement
Your qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific or technical field, especially in areas such as Biotechnology or Biomedical Engineering
* Basic understanding of Systems Engineering and its application in instrument development
* First professional experience in Medical Device Development is an advantage
* First experience in data analysis, evaluation, and the application of statistical methods is an advantage
* Affinity for data-driven work
* IT / tool proficiency: MS Office / Google Workspace
* Fluent in English; German is a plus
* Tools / IT skills beneficial but not required: Python, JMP, Azure DevOps, Retina
