Are you an experienced Supply Chain Specialist (m/w/d) looking for your next challenge in a fast-paced, international environment? Join our client, a premier research‑intensive biopharmaceutical company, and play a key role in ensuring efficient, high-quality supply chain operations.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams – including the supply chain organization in Ireland, local Quality in Switzerland, tech transfer, procurement, manufacturing operations, and other self‑directed teams across the site’s value stream.
We are seeking a hands‑on, execution‑focused Supply Chain Specialist who will manage and optimize material creation processes while strengthening supplier relationships and supporting targeted short‑term projects aimed at improving operational performance.
Key Activities
Logistics & Transportation Coordination
* Coordinate, organize, and monitor temperature‑controlled air and ground transport for national and international shipments.
* Plan and execute shipping activities in close collaboration with internal and external requestors.
* Ensure alignment of all distribution activities with key stakeholders (e.g., GCS departments, WAG, CSPM Demand & Supply Planners, freight forwarders, etc.).
Export / Import Operations
* Act as the main point of contact for Export and Import questions, providing guidance to internal teams and external partners.
* Perform customs declarations through the Passar (Expovit) system.
* Support Import Group activities (cross‑trained for backup and coordination).
Compliance & Regulatory Assurance
* Check and ensure compliance with all relevant Export/Import regulations, including:
o Export/Import licenses
o Global Trade Compliance
o Good Distribution Practices (GDP)
o Dangerous Goods regulations
* Ensure adherence to country‑specific import requirements (customs, veterinary, environmental, health, etc.) based on the GCS Country Requirement Database and regulatory provisions.
Documentation Management
* Prepare accurate and compliant shipping documents, including:
o Proforma Invoices
o Packing lists
o Dangerous Goods Declarations
o Certificates of Origin
o Other export/import documentation as required
Requirements
* Completed commercial apprenticeship (EFZ) or equivalent education
* Up to 2 years’ experience in Export and/or Import Activities
* Very good knowledge of ERP systems and confident use of MS Office (e.g., Microsoft Office)
* Structured, independent, and reliable working style
* A team‑oriented, service‑minded, and resilient personality
* Business‑fluent German skills (spoken and written) and good English skills
* Project management skills
* Flexible and team‑oriented
* Diligent and quality oriented
* Structured and proactive working attitude
* Experience with SAP is a plus
