Scientific Assistant to the CEO (f/m/d)| Full-time | St. Gallen (Switzerland)
Meteomatics is an international weather service provider with headquarters in St.Gallen (Switzerland) and further offices in Europe and the USA. We support large and small, national and international companies with our world-leading technology and data quality. We achieve this through unique software solutions but also through our self-developed Meteodrones, which allow us to collect weather data at any location. In this way, we set new standards in forecast quality worldwide.
To support our CEO in his daily activities of presenting and developing our company we are looking for an Scientific Assistant with the following profile:
Master or PhD in Physics, Meteorology or comparable field
Good meteorological knowledge or strong interest in meteorology
Solid knowledge of Python or Matlab
Work experience in a dynamic (start-up) environment and / or with technical sales is an advantage
Independent, structured working style with initiative, strong communication, cooperation and teamwork skills
Fluent in written and spoken German and English
Good knowledge of MS Office applications
Your tasks
Collaborate directly with the Meteomatics’ CEO
Conduct meteorological analysis using Python or Matlab
Support existing and new customers
Participate in conferences and trade shows in Switzerland and abroad
Prepare proposals, presentations, and other negotiation and sales tools
Collaborate on international research proposals and journal publications
