Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain data ingestion pipelines using
XML, Hive/S3
, and
IBM MQ
.
* Build and support schemaless data ingestion workflows for complex financial datasets.
* Troubleshoot and resolve data quality and pipeline issues to ensure reliable business operations.
* Collaborate with business teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable data solutions.
* Implement metadata management and maintain data classification and sensitivity standards.
* Apply data modeling standards and leverage tools for data cleansing and metadata management.
* Support and optimize data processing in Big Data environments using
Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Trino, Airflow/NiFi, MinIO, Kubernetes, and Kafka
.
* Ensure compliance with banking data regulations and internal security policies.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Hands-on experience with
Big Data technologies
and open-source components (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Trino, Airflow/NiFi, MinIO, K8S, Kafka).
* Expert-level SQL skills across both traditional data warehouses and distributed systems.
* Deep understanding of
financial/banking data products
, data classification, and sensitivity.
* Strong knowledge of
metadata management
, data modeling, and data governance best practices.
* Proven experience working in cross-divisional teams between IT and business.
* Familiarity with Agile project management practices.
Soft Skills:
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and resolve unexpected roadblocks.
* Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork orientation.
* Proactive problem-solving mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certifications or formal training in Big Data, SQL, or Data Engineering tools.
* Previous experience in a financial services or banking environment.
