The objective of this internship is to evaluate the potential of predictive models for reducing sample sizes in clinical trials. Specifically, we want to assess the impact of a prognostic score, derived from disease progression modelling or machine learning techniques, on sample size reduction in Huntington’s Disease trials. To accomplish this, the intern will integrate information from natural history studies and clinical trial data to develop predictive models of disease progression.
You are a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD student specializing in computational biology, applied mathematics, statistics, or physics, with experience in machine learning techniques such as Random Forests, Gradient Boosting Machines, and Lasso Regression.
You have strong programming skills in Julia, R, and/or Python.
You possess excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
Due to regulations, you must provide a certificate issued by your university stating that an Internship is mandatory for your studies
