Job Description
We are seeking a Junior Scientist for Gamified Toolbox Development in Baukultur 50%.
This role is part of the project "Building Together. Redefining Baukultur through children's and youths' perspectives", funded by the National Research Programme (NRP) 81 "Baukultur".
The main goal of this project is to create a gamified toolbox designed to engage children and youths in understanding and shaping local Baukultur.
Your Tasks
* Conduct literature reviews and resource assessments to identify innovative methods for engaging young audiences in Baukultur discussions.
* Design and develop a multidisciplinary Baukultur gamified toolbox combining analogue and digital elements, in close cooperation with external stakeholders.
* Coordinate pilot testing of the toolbox in schools and extracurricular settings in Switzerland, to validate its effectiveness.
* Analyze data on children's and youths' perspectives emerging from the toolbox playtesting sessions and integrate them into further toolbox development.
* Co-author scientific publications, including peer-reviewed journal articles and conference presentations.
Your Profile
We are looking for candidates with a Master's degree in architecture, education sciences, social sciences, urban sciences or related fields, with experience or demonstrated interest in participatory approaches and gamification.
Candidates should have familiarity with qualitative research methods, including data collection and content analysis, strong collaboration, organizational, communication and presentation skills, as well as proficiency in English and one additional language German or French.
