For our client, an international company based in Schaffhausen, we are looking for a detailed-oriented and proactive Testing & Laboratory Technician (m/f/d).
General Information
* Start: As soon as possible / By agreement
* Duration: 1 year
* Workplace: Schaffhausen (Site CH)
* Workload: 100%
* Remote/Home Office: Onsite – 100% in-office presence required due to laboratory testing demands.
Tasks & Responsibilities
* Test Setup & Execution: Set up, organize, and execute routine tests on various devices and product types in accordance with standardized testing methodologies, requirements, and established test plans.
* Collaboration in Testing: Coordinate and execute routine tests in close cooperation with operators, assistants, and other internal resources.
* Documentation & Reporting: Accurately document all test results and prepare comprehensive test reports according to the applicable standards for the tested product to facilitate corrective measures.
* Problem Solving: Cooperate closely with laboratory specialists to identify product non-conformities and recommend effective technical solutions.
* Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate and oversee the maintenance and calibration activities related to the equipment and tools utilized within the laboratory.
* Certification Support: Assist and support external certification inspectors during official testing activities for proprietary and external customer products.
* Process Improvements: Propose innovative improvements to existing test setups, methodologies, and sequences based on professional experience, industry trends, and new equipment.
Qualifications
* Academic Background: Degree or technical qualification in Electrical Engineering or a closely related technical field.
* Professional Experience: 2–3 years of proven professional experience working within a laboratory, testing environment, or a relevant technical engineering field.
* Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of routine testing methodologies, standardized test sequences, and the operation of laboratory testing equipment.
* Analytical & Detail-Oriented: A precise and meticulous working style, ensuring accurate documentation, reliable data capture, and clear report preparation.
* Interpersonal Skills: A proactive collaborator who communicates effectively with internal laboratory specialists, cross-functional operators, and external inspectors.
* Organizational Talent: Ability to manage multiple testing schedules, coordinate equipment maintenance, and strictly adhere to standardized compliance deadlines.
