Procurement and Commercial Expert
This role is a unique opportunity to combine procurement and commercial expertise in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Business Development Manager in identifying potential clients and coordinating communication with them.
* Ensure effective coordination during the bidding process between the Company's Commercial Function and involved departments.
* Purchase goods and services/subcontracts in compliance with cost/time/quality requirements and corporate policies.
* Develop initiatives and synergies to improve procurement results in terms of savings and effectiveness, and through strategic sourcing networks.
Commercial Accountabilities:
* Assist the Commercial Manager in managing interfaces with Partners and Clients.
* Analyze contract requirements and conditions.
* Review tender and contractual documentation, considering implications and involving relevant departments.
* Understand financial and contractual schemes.
* Assist the Commercial and Tendering Department during the bidding process.
* Participate in negotiations with Clients to reach proposal agreements and formalize contracts.
* Prepare Proposal Close-Out Reports.
* Support project teams in relation to contractual aspects.
* Capacity for negotiations aligned with commercial strategy.
* Ability to review legal principles, obligations, and responsibility.
Procurement Accountabilities:
* Prepare purchases or subcontracts based on standard General Purchase Terms and Conditions, and manage deviations.
* Issue Request for Quotations to vendors based on purchasing requests.
* Support vendors in preparing technical/commercial proposals while maintaining confidentiality about bid information.
* Prepare commercial/economic bid tabulations to compare proposals and suggest improvements.
* Lead commercial/economic negotiations.
* Perform market and procurement analysis to produce reports supporting procurement strategies.
* Plan Strategic Sourcing activities based on future sourcing needs, complying with Saipem guidelines.
* Process analysis on spent and planned procurement data, along with a report evaluating issue of Strategic Agreements.
* Monitor and collect Volume Rebate Agreement contacting suppliers.
Requirements:
* 3-5 years' experience in procurement.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Adaptability and problem-solving attitude, strong organizational skills.
* Strong interpersonal, organizational, and negotiation skills.
* Experience in energy, construction, and/or oil and gas sectors is beneficial.
* Excellent English skills (spoken and written).
* Italian is a plus (spoken and written), every other language beneficial.
