Our client, an innovative Swiss bio-pharmaceutical company, is seeking an Senior Scientific Associate in Analytical Development for an 8-month contract in the Basel area.
Main Responsibilities Organization of laboratory activities and follow the processes defined in Guidelines and SOPs.
Development, optimization and implementation of analytical methods, e.g., for Dissolution, blend/content uniformity, water content, assay and impurity determinations.
Write-up of analytical methods for verification/implementation and validation.
Participation in meetings at intra- and inter-departmental level (e.g., CMC).
Plan and execute stability studies
Proper documentation of all analytical activities according to the client\`s way of working.
Review, interpretation and documentation of analytical data including results from method development, validation, stability, and transfer.
Write-up and review of analytical protocols and reports, e.g., for validation and stability studies.
Assurance of adequate maintenance and operation of analytical equipment.
Drafting and review of CoAs and/or Analytical results sheets.
Drafting of SOPs, GUIs, TPLs, FRMs.
Training of Laboratory personnel on advanced tasks.
Ensuring of cleanliness of laboratory and work space.
Independently designs and executes projects or experiments with hands on involvement.
Independently reviews scientific work in project related activities.
Ensures availability of adequate lab materials as well as justifying acquisition of new materials or equipment.
Qualifications and Experience Relevant Swiss working/residency permit and/or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required;
College or university degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, or Chemical Engineering.
6+ years (apprenticeship), 4+ years (BS) or 3+ years (MS) of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or similar.
Basic knowledge of GMP.
Good knowledge of analytical chemistry of drug product.
Good knowledge of separation and spectroscopic instrumentation. e.g., HPLC, UV/VIS, IR .
Good knowledge of dissolution methods.
Advanced knowledge of sample preparation for drug product.
Good troubleshooting skills for analytical analyses.
Efficiently plan, execute and document analytical experiments in a pharmaceutical environment.
Ability to work independently and to take initiative.
Flexible and good time management skills.
Advanced communication and team-working skills.
Life-long learning mindset.
Strong sense of accountability.
Should actively seek technical solutions to improve quality and productivity
Proficient in English.
