For our client, a dynamic trading company based in Geneva, we are actively looking a highly motivated Operations Trader Support professional to work closely with the trading team and operations units. This individual will play a critical role in coordinating and supporting trading operations across multiple regions, ensuring smooth execution from contract to delivery. The role requires someone with a strong understanding of trading and logistics processes, and the ability to grow into more responsibilities over time.
Key Responsibilities :
Act as a key support person for the trading team, assisting with daily trade execution and follow-up.
Coordinate across global operational hubs, particularly in Europe & the USA.
Oversee and manage the end-to-end trade flow, including:
Reviewing and assisting with sales contracts
Liaising with customers on shipments and documentation
Ensuring invoice accuracy and timely payments
Coordinating with banks for amendments and financial documentation
Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely movement of goods.
Maintain regular communication with internal teams and external partners to align on key deliverables.
Proactively identify and resolve operational issues or delays.
Provide support for compliance checks and reporting
Profile Requirements :
Prior experience in an international trading company or logistics/operations department is preferred.
Solid knowledge of trading and shipping workflows, documentation, and terminology.
Strong academic background, with Swiss qualification is preferred.
Strong coordination and organizational skills.
Ability to work across time zones and teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP or trading systems is a plus.
Excellent communication skills in English & French (other languages are a plus).
Willingness to learn and gradually take on more responsibilities in trading or operational decision-making.
