Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking an intern to join our R&D team located in Zuchwil.
DePuySynthes is recruiting for an Intern/Co-Op R&D, located in Zuchwil, Switzerland.
As an intern you will be a part of our R&D team and support our engineers in developing the next generation of surgical implants for fracture fixation.
Key Responsibilities
Support numerous work activities as part of the development process of new medical devices.
Build concepts for medical devices and mechanical test setups.
Design prototypes and coordinate manufacturing in the prototype shop.
Coordinate and support mechanical tests.
Write technical reports to document your work.
Present your results to your colleagues.
Qualifications Education
Engineering student (FH, ETH, min. 2 years of study, preferred with completed bachelor degree) with mechanical engineering / materials engineering / biomedical engineering expertise.
Experience and Skills
Interest in the areas of product development and medical devices.
Preferred
Basic CAD (preferably ProE / Creo) and Finite Element Analysis skills.
Experience in Mechanical testing and validation.
Basic skills anatomical & biomechanical understanding.
Basic statistical knowledge.
Basic programming experience in MATLAB and/or Python.
Comfortable with reading and reviewing technical documents and drawings.
Other
Written and oral English communication is required, German is a plus.
