Job Description
Miraex is looking for an enthusiastic Nanofabrication Engineer to join us on our mission to develop and mature our nanofabrication process. To enable this, we are looking for somebody having excellent experience in micro‑ and nanofabrication combined with a good understanding of all aspects of an integrated photonic device. The engineer will work with a multidisciplinary team with some limited overlapping expertise that make everyone an essential part of the project. Good communication skills with the team will be critical to ensure that product design is informed by the capabilities of the fabrication process. As someone ensuring the quality of our product, your impact will be instrumental in making our company successful.
Roles
* Manufacture devices for our R&D team in an academic cleanroom.
* Develop and continuously improve the process flow.
* Perform metrology, document, analyze, and present the collected data.
* Use your fabrication experience to support the design of integrated photonic devices.
* Seek creative solutions to challenging design and functional objectives.
* Master’s degree (or PhD) in microtechnology engineering or a comparable field.
* Minimum 2 years experience in a micro‑ and nanofabrication process environment.
* Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team, including theory and experimental profiles.
* Flexible and willing to take on multiple tasks in a startup environment.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficiency in English; French is a plus.
* Good‑to‑have qualifications:
* Manufacturing (masks and other technology bricks) expertise with external suppliers (including RFQ, Quality Control, etc.).
* Experience in DUV photolithography, e‑beam lithography, dry etching and thin film deposition (in particular metal and superconducting materials).
* SPC methods applied to micro‑ and nanofabrication.
* Experience in technology transfer.
