The Audio Visual (AV) and Telecommunication team is responsible for the smooth functioning of the Forum’s AV and telecommunication infrastructure at its headquarters in Geneva, as well as the workspace management platform.
We are seeking a Telecommunication/Audio Visual Management Lead to manage the in-house AV team, oversee projects, ensure the maintenance and continuous operation of AV facilities, and manage the Forum’s mobile telecommunication fleet.
This role will also lead the relationship with service providers and contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and process improvement.
The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in AV and telecommunication systems, proven experience managing teams, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
Reporting Lines & Interactions
This position is based in the Forum’s Geneva office and reports to the Head of General Services.
Internally, the Lead works with all Forum employees and collaborates closely with Hospitality, Facility Management, and IT teams.
Externally, the role engages with vendors, technology providers, and service partners to ensure the optimal performance of AV and telecommunication systems.
Breakdown of Main Responsibilities & Deliverables
Management of AV facilities and business continuity
* Manage the in-house AV team, including scheduling daily work tasks
* Oversee budgets for AV operations and projects
* Act as project manager or contributor for AV-related initiatives
* Monitor facilities (dashboards, issue logging, escalation)
* Conduct punctual and scheduled infrastructure maintenance
* Provide short-term solutions to resolve issues whenever possible
End-user support for AV facilities
* Provide support for meeting rooms and event AV needs
* Monitor support mailboxes and log issues
* Escalate video conferencing platform issues as needed
Telecommunication fleet management
* Provide second-level support and monitor tickets
* Maintain accurate inventory management
* Develop and deploy new features
* Deliver end-user training and produce support materials
Other responsibilities
* Support the workspace management platform (Engage)
* Manage video conferencing platforms (Zoom)
* Identify process improvement opportunities
* Contribute to statistics dashboards (e.g., meeting room usage, mobile phone usage, heavy user listings)
Preferred Requirements and Experience
* 6–7+ years’ experience with audio-visual equipment, with a strong technical background in corporate or event environments (e.g., Crestron, AnalogWay, Digital signage)
* Solid knowledge of UCC technologies (Zoom, telecom, videoconferencing)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French
* Proven experience managing a small team
* Advanced proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications
* Ability to multi-task and operate effectively with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, evolving environment
* Strong service orientation, stress management, and collaborative mindset
* Capacity to innovate, apply critical thinking, and deliver to the highest standards under tight deadlines
