SAP PS / PPM Consultant
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6-12 months initial contract + possible extensions
Location: 60% onsite in Bern, Switzerland / 40% remote
Languages: Fluent German and English required
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced SAP PS/PPM Consultant to join a long-term S/4HANA implementation project in Bern. The consultant will design, configure, and support solutions across Project Systems (PS) and Enterprise Project & Portfolio Management (EPPM), ensuring seamless integration with key SAP modules and alignment with business objectives.
This is a hybrid role suited for a hands-on functional expert who can translate complex project requirements into scalable SAP solutions while working closely with business and IT stakeholders.
Must-Have Skills
1. Minimum 7+ years' experience in SAP PS & PPM (EPPM)
2. Proven experience designing and delivering SAP solutions in Project Systems (PS) and Enterprise Project & Portfolio Management (EPPM)
3. Strong configuration expertise in SAP PS and SAP EPPM to support desired business processes
4. In-depth understanding of PPM integration with Project Systems, Internal Orders, HR CATS, Purchasing, and FICO
5. Solid PS/CO knowledge with hands-on experience in project structure, cost planning, scheduling, and resource management
6. Experience providing support and maintenance for SAP EPPM
7. Strong understanding of project types (Portfolio, Capital, Expense, Customer)
8. Knowledge of SAP Activate implementation methodology
9. Excellent communication skills in both English and German
Nice-to-Have Skills
10. SAP Certification in Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) or Project Systems (PS)
11. Experience in 2-3 full lifecycle SAP implementations
12. Strong integration knowledge with SAP S/4HANA components (FICO, PP, MM, SD, HCM, PM)
13. Experience using SAP Solution Manager / Focused Build within project delivery
Key Responsibilities
14. Gather and analyse business requirements, providing SAP PS/PPM solution design proposals
15. Lead and participate in design and development activities across the full lifecycle
16. Configure SAP PS and EPPM modules to meet business needs
17. Ensure smooth integration with other SAP modules and business systems
18. Deliver system support, testing, and maintenance post-deployment
19. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, both onshore and offshore
20. Provide progress reporting and updates to internal stakeholders and project management
21. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment
Ideal Profile
22. Strong SAP PS/PPM background with hands-on S/4HANA experience
23. Confident communicator in both German and English
24. Proven track record in delivering complex project management solutions
25. Able to manage stakeholders and work in hybrid, fast-paced project environments
