Manufacturing Operations Manager
European Tech Recruit is working closely with a leading sensors company based in Reutlingen. They are looking for a talented Manufacturing Operations Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities
* Involved in the definition, decision making, and implementation of Operations strategy and goals to exceed customer expectations for product ramp‑up, costs, and delivery as well as maximizing operational efficiency and optimise supplier base.
* Manage day‑to‑day operations with external and internal manufacturing to fulfil customer demands. Set performance goals such as on‑time delivery, yield, productivity improvements, and cost expectations and be able to drive the suppliers to achieve required results.
* Oversight of the Operations team (Engineering, Supply Chain & Internal Production) that drives product & process improvements with a strong link with R&D projects. Will be a key lead/member of projects to drive process improvements, product transfers, new process/product qualification, equipment life cycle management, yield improvement, and ramp to mass production.
* Lead the Sales & Operations Planning team in optimizing a feasible and stable global demand and supply plan for both short‑term and long‑term horizon. Synchronize with Product Marketing the demand forecast and align the plans with external manufacturing supply availability to ensure achievable sales and strategic plans.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including sales & marketing, planners, engineers, quality, procurement, legal, and management to develop and execute manufacturing strategy to ensure adequate capacity and competitive pricing to support the long‑term growth of the company.
* Provide clear leadership and vision, inspire and motivate staff to achieve excellence and mentor them in developing new skills.
Requirements
1. MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemistry Engineering, Material Science or related area.
2. Excellent track record as Manufacturing Manager or in another managerial position with more than 10 years of progressive semiconductor manufacturing experience working with operations, technology development, product engineering, supply chain, external manufacturing, and fabless companies.
3. Strong technical understanding and knowledge about MEMS and ASICs process technologies, yield improvement, environmental sensors, device physics, and semiconductor manufacturing including packaging and assembly & test operations.
4. Proven project management experience in managing process, product and/or equipment
