For our Group Digital Department in Arlesheim we are looking with by agreement for a Group Senior SEO Manager (m/f/d) 100%.
The role
Global SEO Roadmap & Expansion: Define and lead the long‑term global SEO strategy. Set up international standards, processes, and reporting frameworks across all markets.
AI & GEO Transformation: Develop and implement strategies to adapt to the evolving search landscape, with a specific focus on Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). You will ensure brand visibility within AI‑driven answer engines (e.g., ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews).
International Market Empowerment: Act as a strategic consultant for regional marketing teams, providing them with the tools, knowledge, and frameworks necessary to drive organic growth locally while maintaining global consistency.
AI‑Driven Efficiency: Integrate AI tools and automation into the SEO workflow (e.g., for data analysis, content scaling, and technical audits) to increase productivity across the group.
Content & Entity Strategy: Work closely with content teams to strengthen brand authority. Shift focus from keyword‑centric optimization to entity‑based SEO and E‑E‑A‑T to provide high‑quality data for both traditional crawlers and LLMs.
Technical SEO & Architecture: Oversee complex international requirements, including global site architecture, hreflang management, and site speed, in close partnership with product and engineering teams.
Performance Monitoring & Insights: Track, analyze, and report on global SEO performance using modern tool stacks, translating data into actionable insights for senior leadership.
Your profile
At least 5 years of hands‑on experience in SEO, ideally within an international e‑commerce or tech environment.
Proven track record in building or significantly scaling marketing functions within complex, decentralized, or international organizations.
AI‑Native Mindset: A deep understanding of how LLMs work and practical experience in using AI tools to enhance SEO outcomes.
International Expertise: Extensive experience in managing multi‑language websites and a solid understanding of international search landscapes.
Strategic Leadership: Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex SEO concepts into business‑driven strategies for senior stakeholders.
Cultural Intelligence: Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse international teams.
Language Skills: Fluent in English. German (B2 or higher) is a plus.
