About the role
As a Java Developer at Dun & Bradstreet, you'll manage, develop, and test our local platform across various countries. You'll work with diverse technical stacks and provide support and maintenance.
Key responsibilities:
* Innovative Development and Support: Enhance our local platform with robust, scalable solutions.
* Data Management: Ensure data integrity through ingestion, mastering, matching, and dispatching.
Responsibilities:
* Development: Manage, develop, and test core D&B software systems, applications, and components (frontend: 20%, backend: 80%).
* Data Expertise: Handle data ingestion, mastering, matching, and dispatching for various countries.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Develop features end-to-end across the software stack in cross-functional teams.
* Clear Documentation: Produce detailed specifications and documentation for software development.
* Elegant Coding: Write simple, maintainable, and testable code ensuring low-cost maintenance and high performance.
* Microservices & APIs: Maintain microservices and REST APIs with streaming capabilities.
* Agile Process: Work within Agile sprints of 2 weeks, participate in monthly competency meetings, focusing on compliance and data security.
* Team Support: Provide support to peers within local and offshore teams.
Skills:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
* Experience: Proficient in Java 8+, capable of writing well-documented, maintainable, and testable code. Strong familiarity with the Spring Framework.
* Tech Stack: REST, SOAP, MS SQL, (No)SQL databases, Elastic Search, Linux.
* Agile: Experience working in Scrum or Agile teams.
* Innovation: Passion for emerging technologies and creating innovative solutions.
Bonus Skills:
* Tech Stack: Kafka, GraphQL, Angular.
* Big Data: Knowledge of big data technologies and data engineering.
* Cloud: Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms.
Personal Attributes:
* Team Player: Collaborative with local and remote teams.
* Ownership: Proactive problem solver with curiosity and action orientation.
* Growth Mindset: Committed to continuous learning and development.
* Language Skills: Fluency in English and German.
