Overview We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager with a hunter mentality to drive new business development in the air and ocean freight sector. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives on identifying opportunities, building relationships, and closing deals. You will be responsible for expanding the customer base in the Basel region and contributing to the growth of our international logistics operations.
Responsibilities
Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities in air and ocean freight across the Basel region.
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and market penetration.
Build strong relationships with prospective clients, understanding their logistics needs and offering tailored solutions.
Collaborate with internal operations and pricing teams to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery.
Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline development, and client interactions using CRM tools.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to enhance brand visibility and network.
Requirements
Proven track record in sales and business development within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
Strong knowledge of air and ocean freight services, including pricing, routing, and operational processes.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for winning new business.
Fluent in English ; German and/or French is a plus.
Based in or willing to relocate to Basel .
