As part of the ETRM Application team, you will be responsible for supporting, developing, testing and maintaining applications for energy and risk management. You ensure best practices around application management and will work closely with other teams of the support functions of Alpiq. In this role you will report to the Head Deal to invoice & Riskmanagement and this position ist based at our offices in Olten, Switzerland.
Your main responsibilities
Responsible for time-critical 24/7 complex data processing system (including 3rd level support, monitoring of data and interfaces)
Participate in the full software development lifecycle
Ensure software is scalable, secure and compliant with industry standards
Continuous improvement and refactoring of legacy components
Collaborating with cross-functional teams
Provide technical guidance and support to other team members
Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in software engineering
Ready to provide stand-by duty
Your profile
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar
3+ years of experience in software development using SQL (Oracle and SQL Server), .NET (C# and VB.NET), Python, Camunda, AWS, shell scripting and other technologies
Familiarity with AWS or other cloud computing platforms
Knowledge of the energy sector or a strong interest in learning about the industry
Excellent problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in English and ability to work effectively both independently and as a part of a team
