Senior Frontend Engineer – Decentriq
Decentriq is a rising leader in data clean room technology headquartered in Zürich, collaborating with advertisers, retailers, and publishers to enable 1st‑party data for audience targeting and campaign measurement.
Our web‑application UI is the gateway to this privacy‑preserving technology, built with React, TypeScript, GraphQL (Apollo/react‑query) and Joy UI. It lets customers configure secure data jobs, explore results, and trigger ML workflows in a single click.
We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer (≥ 80 % effort, start ASAP) who can elevate this experience. The role can be fully remote (± 4 h CET) or based in our Zürich/Berlin office.
Responsibilities
* Design, Develop, and Test: Build full‑featured client‑side applications using React and Joy UI, focusing on responsive, aesthetically pleasing interfaces and a seamless user experience. Work with GraphQL and REST APIs on the backend.
* State Management for Interactive Data Applications: Design scalable solutions that keep the client application efficient and maintainable under heavy data loads.
* Client‑Side Data Processing and Visualisation: Implement and optimise advanced client‑side data processing directly in the browser, leveraging WebAssembly to accelerate computationally intensive tasks and build rich, interactive visualisations.
* AI‑Powered Productivity: Use LLM‑based code assistants, design generators, and test‑automation tools to move faster and raise the quality bar; share workflows with the team.
* Collaborate with Cross‑Functional Teams: Work closely with design, product management and engineering teams to integrate diverse perspectives and achieve the best possible results.
Requirements
* Master/Bachelor degree or PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and 3 + years of professional experience.
* Good communication skills and fluency in English.
* Extensive experience in TypeScript, React, CSS3, and HTML5.
* Proven record of building data‑heavy UIs that stay responsive through smart state management and memoisation.
* Plus: Experience with web applications involving heavy data processing (e.g. WebAssembly) and visualisation libraries (e.g., D3.js, Chart.js, Recharts).
* Plus: Technical leadership experience.
* Plus plus: Willingness to learn Rust for simple backend changes.
