Seasonal Chef de Rang – from April to September (m/w/d)
Mandarin Oriental Palace Luzern is seeking a Seasonal Chef de Rang to join our Food & Beverage team for the peak season. The role focuses on delivering exemplary guest service, maintaining high quality standards, and supporting the restaurant operations in a dynamic, luxury setting.
Responsibilities
* Provide professional and attentive service to guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience.
* Serve food and drinks with expertise, maintaining presentation and style.
* Demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge and sales techniques.
* Ensure smooth operation of your station, adhering to quality and efficiency standards.
* Prepare and manage mise en place for all service periods.
* Support the restaurant management in daily tasks and special events.
* Operate the cash register system accurately and complete correct cash accounting.
* Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in compliance with HACCP guidelines.
Qualifications
* Completed vocational training in high‑end hospitality or gastronomy; ideally 2–3 years of relevant experience.
* Proficient IT skills; familiarity with Infrasys cash register and SevenRooms booking system is an advantage.
* Excellent communication skills; capable of handling guest feedback and complaints professionally.
* Structured, results‑oriented, and independent work style.
* High commitment, quality awareness, and teamwork orientation.
* Flexibility and resilience; availability for weekend and holiday shifts.
* Well‑groomed appearance with strong manners and positive charisma.
* Very good German and English; additional languages are a plus.
