As Floor Manager, your mission is to actively participate in the development of the business, respecting the sense of tradition, quality and service that Hermès aims to promote.
People Management & Development
1. Plan daily activities, set objectives, and allocate tasks to the team.
2. Observe and coach the team on the floor, providing continuous feedback to support individual development.
3. Participate in recruitment initiatives alongside the leadership team, aligned with HR strategy.
4. Lead onboarding activities for new team members and ensure their full integration.
5. Define individual development goals, set clear expectations, and guide team members in their improvement areas.
6. Conduct Annual Performance Appraisals to foster career development and discuss aspirations.
7. Propose development plans to store management and HR.
8. Identify training needs and collaborate with store management and the training manager to address them.
Sales & Client Experience
9. Drive the achievement of sales targets through strong team leadership, with specific responsibility over assigned departments.
10. Develop business strategies and action plans to support the growth of your categories.
11. Cultivate a strong client culture within the team, supporting client discovery, nurturing loyalty, and sharing best practices in clienteling.
12. Support the team in complex sales situations and in handling client complaints.
13. Lead morning briefings, ensuring full team engagement and preparation.
14. Coach team members to enhance data accuracy and improve client contactability, ensuring compliance with privacy and company standards.
15. Contribute to commercial development by leveraging product knowledge, market trends, client insights, and best practices; monitor key performance indicators.
16. Build action plans based on performance analysis to reach targets.
17. Manage buying for your departments by proposing a purchasing strategy based on past performance, observations, client feedback, and market trends.
Operations & Visual Merchandising
18. Support store management in organizing the floor, ensuring optimal coverage and supervision.
19. Collaborate with operations and store management to optimize end‑to‑end store processes.
20. Foster continuous collaboration with the Visual Merchandising team, proposing ideas to enhance the in‑store customer experience.
Profile
21. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in high‑end fashion, luxury retail, or a similar role.
22. Fluency in German, Italian, and English; French is an asset.
23. Deep understanding of the St. Moritz clientele, including its seasonal patterns, its multicultural nature, and its high expectations in terms of service and product knowledge.
24. Solid management background, ideally within an international luxury fashion environment.
25. Proficiency with Excel and general IT tools.
26. Exemplary conduct (procedures, communication, attitude, presence on the floor).
27. Strong, charismatic presence with excellent interpersonal abilities.
28. Strong analytical mindset with a passion for developing strategies.
29. Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
