Legal Counsel, Claims Coordinator - 3-4-month assignment
About Our Client
Multinational company based in Geneva.
Job Description
* Coordinate the end-to-end process of unaccompanied cargo (UAC) shipments within the Claims department (Legal), ensuring timely and accurate handling.
* Liaise with shipping agents, port authorities, customs, and internal departments to ensure all documentation and processes are in place.
* Monitor shipment milestones and proactively resolve any issues or delays.
* Ensure compliance with local and international maritime regulations and company policies.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure proper archiving of shipping documentation.
* Provide regular status updates and reports to management and clients.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
The Successful Applicant
* Immediately available (no later than 1st of September).
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, Maritime Studies, International Trade, or a related field.
* 2-3 years of experience in claims management.
* Knowledge of international shipping regulations, Incoterms, and customs procedures is a strong advantage.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills in English; French is a strong advantage.
