Position Summary
The Director, Regional Delivery Lead is a leadership role within the Regional Clinical Operations (RCO) function, essential for the success of the BMS R&D pipeline. This role reports to the Executive Director, Head of Regional Delivery Lead, and is a key member of the leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
Drive strategy and operational leadership for Regional Delivery Leads in a specific region, ensuring accountability of all country clinical operation teams supporting the BMS R&D portfolio.
Coordinate with the Global Trial Management organization to align Drug Development strategy and delivery across regions and countries.
Own cross-functional relationships within therapeutic areas across Drug Development and Worldwide Medical.
Build and lead a regional team of Regional Delivery Leads to ensure delivery of clinical operations commitments across the region.
Monitor and manage regional delivery of study start-up, conduct, and closure activities.
Provide feedback, coaching, and career development to staff, supporting engagement and retention.
Engage with stakeholders to interpret local trends affecting trial execution.
Identify factors influencing site monitoring and resource management, and escalate issues when needed.
Ensure compliance with local regulations and support inspection readiness.
Develop strong relationships with stakeholders across R&D and other functions.
Represent RCO in governance and strategic teams as needed.
Communicate goals and priorities effectively, fostering a culture of diversity, integrity, and accountability.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
At least 10 years in project management within pharma/biotech/CRO organizations.
Experience managing global or regional clinical programs (Phase I-IV).
Minimum 5 years managing teams with a focus on development and motivation.
Deep understanding of GCP, ICH guidelines, and clinical trial operations.

Travel Requirements
Up to 30% travel expected.
