Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research & Development Engineer specializing in microfabrication to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Master's or Ph.D. degree in microengineering or mechanical engineering (or relevant fields) and a strong background in prototyping, 3D design, and mechanical characterization of microdevices.
Responsibilities:
Lead the prototyping efforts for innovative medical devices, utilizing advanced techniques and 3D design software to rapidly iterate and refine product designs.
Conduct thorough mechanical testing and analysis of product using state-of-the-art testing equipment and methodologies.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of project objectives and prioritize product prototyping and mechanical testing efforts.
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in microfabrication, and integrate findings into the development of new prototyping and testing methodologies.
Document and communicate research findings effectively through reports, presentations, and technical documentation.
Qualifications:
Master's or Ph.D. degree in relevant field, e.g., Microengineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering.
Proven expertise in prototyping and 3D design of medical devices (wearable), with proficiency in relevant software/tools, e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.
Extensive experience in conducting mechanical testing of microdevices.
Strong background in microfabrication techniques and cleanroom processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
Preferred starting date: ASAP
A valid Swiss work permit or Swiss or EU-28/EFTA citizenship is preferable (but not mandatory) for this position.
