Senior Scientist Position - Global Indoor Air Quality Database Development
The Human-Oriented Built Environment Lab invites applications for a senior scientist to lead research on the development and scientific exploitation of the world's first global indoor air quality database.
Main Responsibilities
* Develop and scientifically explore a global IAQ database
* Formulate and investigate novel, cross-disciplinary research questions related to indoor air quality, human exposure, and building ventilation
* Collaborate with researchers in public health, environmental science, and engineering
* Engage in effective project coordination, communication with collaborators, and possibly mentoring junior researchers
* Contribute to the lab's dissemination and outreach efforts
We are seeking an independent and highly motivated researcher who meets the following criteria:
Requirements
* Strong expertise in indoor air quality, ventilation, or related aspects of building environmental science
* Excellent data analytics and programming skills (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB), including experience with large datasets and statistical or machine learning methods
* Exceptional communication, teamwork, and project management abilities, with the ability to engage with diverse collaborators and stakeholders
* A PhD (or near completion) in Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, or Architectural Engineering, or a related field
* A track record of scientific publications in reputable journals
* Fluency in English (spoken and written)
