Location: ZurichWork Pattern Percentage: 80% - 100%Help our clients successfully manage global challenges Our Actuarial team provides a full range of actuarial support in the areas of life, non-life, health insurance, reinsurance as well as pension funds.We are collaborating regularly with other teams in Audit & Assurance as well as with other lines of services, like Strategy, Risk & TransactionsAdvisory or Technology & Transformation, on large-scale projects.In this position, you will be integrated into an experienced project team right from the start and will have responsibilities to lead projects or workstreams and deliver reliable solutions.How you can make an impact
1. Develop and coach the actuarial team for life insurance
2. Lead business development activities for the actuarial team in life and health insurance.
3. Deliver projects together with other actuaries or in a multidisciplinary team. Take responsibilities for workstreams or projects.
What to expect
4. Directly leading a variety of client projects, such as actuarial transformation projects, M&A transactions, audits or valuations;
5. Managing the lifecycle of projects from proposals, contracting, delivery to invoicing.
6. Business development: identification of business ideas and opportunities, generation of new business with internal and external clients.
7. Participating and leading thought leadership;
8. All aspects of the employee lifecycle from finding, acquiring and training new talent to performance reviews and promotions
Who we are looking for
9. You have a University degree (ETH or University) in actuarial science, mathematics, physics, economics or similar quantitative field
10. You are qualified actuary “Actuary SAA” or equivalent
11. You have experience in an actuarial position preferably in Consulting in the Swiss market
12. You have excellent analytical and communication skills with a real willingness to learn and make a difference, and you enjoy working with different people from different fields
13. You communicate confidently in German and in English with different levels of stakeholders – German / Swiss German is a must.
14. You demonstrate proven business development experience.
15. Affinity with technology, such as actuarial modelling tools, AI platforms, data platforms.
