Overview
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a commercially driven Key Account Manager to manage and expand strategic relationships in the packaging sector. This role focuses on driving revenue, ensuring project delivery, and maintaining high customer satisfaction across a diverse client base.
Responsibilities
* Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers across packaging value chains, including brand owners, co-packers, and converters.
* Understand customer requirements and offer tailored solutions leveraging product capabilities from multiple production sites.
* Support new packaging development initiatives and collaborate directly with client teams.
* Identify new market opportunities and help grow the customer base.
* Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue targets and strengthen market position.
* Monitor industry trends, competitor moves, and client behavior to inform strategy.
* Ensure seamless execution of orders and high service standards.
* Track account performance and customer satisfaction using defined KPIs.
* Lead negotiations on pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure mutual benefit and compliance.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven track record in account management or technical sales within the packaging or materials industry.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Knowledge of metals or flexible packaging materials is an asset.
* Native-level German; fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
* Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (preferably SAP).
* Travel is required.
