We are seeking a skilled Quantitative Developer to join our team, focusing on the dynamic power and gas markets. In this role, you will bridge the gap between quantitative analysis and production-ready software, transforming complex mathematical models and algorithms into robust, efficient, and scalable solutions.
You will be responsible for refining and optimizing prototype algorithms developed by our analysts, with a focus on problems within the energy sector, such as gas and power market dynamics. This is a unique opportunity to apply your technical expertise to real-world challenges, directly impacting business decisions and profitability.
Responsibilities
Translate complex mathematical and optimization models (using techniques like stochastic and deterministic optimization) into high-performance, production-grade code.
Develop and implement software solutions for specific energy sector problems, such as resource allocation and optimization to maximize profitability.
Utilize and integrate optimization frameworks like Pyomo, Mosek or similar tools to solve complex problems.
Optimize and refactor existing code, ensuring it is reliable, maintainable, and scalable.
Collaborate closely with analysts, traders, and other developers to understand business requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
Perform code reviews, rigorous testing, and integrate software into existing systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proven research or professional experience as a Quantitative Developer, ideally with experience in developing quantitative models or optimization algorithms.
Proficiency in Python is required (C#, Rust are considered alternatives).
