Reporting to the Head of Claims Northern, Central Eastern Europe (NCEE), you will manage a significant and complex PC claims portfolio, drive performance and delivering client-focused outcomes in close collaboration with cross-functional teams. /p pbKey Responsibilities: /b /p li pbOwn and steer /b the assigned claims portfolio, with full accountability for its performance and development, including mitigation of adverse prior-year development, actively identifying and reducing claims leakage /p /li li pbDevelop and implement /b claims handling strategies for complex losses and scenarios /p /li li pbEnsure effective claims monitoring /b and provide expert guidance across the PC Claims unit /p /li li pbConduct claims reviews and audits /b, supporting portfolio steering and transaction objectives /p /li li pbIdentify and monitor /b legal risks, and regulatory developments impacting Swiss Re's in-force and prospective business /p /li li pbGenerate and track /bclaims trends and insights that influence Underwriting decisions /p /li li pbContribute to Smart Circles /b, ensuring strong alignment and feedback loops between Client Markets, Underwriting, Products, and Reserving /p /li li pbUnderstand client needs /b and deliver impactful, client-focused initiatives aligned with overall strategy, in close collaboration with Market Heads, Client Managers, and cross-functional teams /p /li pbAbout the Team /b /p pThis is an excellent opportunity to join our experienced Claims team within the PC Reinsurance NCEE Market Unit. You will manage client and stakeholder relationships across all levels of seniority and collaborate closely with colleagues in Client Markets, Underwriting, Reserving, Contracts, and other key functions. Your professional background and personal strengths will enable you to contribute to thought leadership initiatives, ensure strong market and cross-functional representation, and support effective portfolio monitoring. /p pbAbout You /b /p pYou are a pragmatic, solution-oriented professional with a high level of personal accountability and resilience. Curious and open-minded, you bring strong communication and negotiation skills, a trustworthy demeanour, and the enthusiasm to go the extra mile. You are equally comfortable working independently and collaborating across functions and seniority levels. /p pbWe are looking for candidates who meet these requirements: /b /p li pbUniversity degree and/or vocational training /b in insurance, loss adjusting, or a related field /p /li li pbMinimum 5 years' experience from (re)insurance /bandin handling large liability and/or property claims and/or underwriting, ideally with exposure to the Swiss market /p /li li pbExcellent communication skills /b in German and English (written and verbal). Good level of French an asset /p /li li pbStrong leadership presence /b with experience representing an organisation at senior or executive client levels /p /li li pbProven ability to develop and execute strategies /b, translating objectives into practical action plans /p /li li pbExcellent stakeholder management and networking skills /b, with the ability to address conflicts constructively /p /li li pbConfident in applying AI /b to enhance claims analysis, improve accuracy, and increase operational efficiency /p /li pbThese are additional nice to haves: /b /p li pExperience in the primary insurance industry or within legal/insurance functions of large corporations /p /li li pA degree in Law strong plus /p /li li pAnalytical and financial acumen /p /li pFor Switzerland, the base salary range for this position is between CHF 118 000 and CHF 178 000 for a full-time role. /p pThe specific salary offered considers: /p li pThe requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role /p /li li pThe applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience /p /li pIn the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range.
