About the team you are joining
The
position reports directly to the Global Head of PMO and, as such, the incumbent
will adhere to IATA's global standards for project delivery. They will undergo
onboarding to ensure full compliance with these standards. The role is part of
a team of certified Project Management professionals (PMP and Scrum), enabling
us to effectively manage both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
What your day would be like
As an MDM Senior Project Manager, you will:
- Lead the continuous monitoring and refining of the project scope, objectives, and success metrics in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.
- Develop, maintain and proactively adjust comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets for MDM initiatives. Leverage advanced project management methodologies to synchronize multiple workstreams, manage interdependencies, and accommodate shifting resource constraints.
- Operationalize robust governance frameworks, including steering committees, escalation paths, and structured reporting cadence.
- Ensure the allocation and optimization of internal and external resources, proactively identifying gaps and negotiating with vendors to secure critical capabilities.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Share status updates and enable clear communication across sponsors, steering committees, and project teams.
- Ensure alignment with organizational change management processes and support user adoption activities.
- Oversee project quality to ensure all deliverables fully comply with data governance and regulatory standards.
- Conduct
post-implementation reviews and capture lessons learned for continuous
improvement.
We would love to hear from you if
- 10+ years of
experience leading complex, data-centric programs, with a focus on Master
Data Management, data governance, or data quality.
- Demonstrable experience in orchestrating cross-functional teams and managing vendor relationships.
- Excellent communication, change management, and stakeholder engagement capabilities at the executive level.
- Proven track record in overseeing enterprise-scale MDM implementations (e.g., Informatica, SAP MDG, Reltio) and establishing robust data governance frameworks.
- Management of program budgets, timelines, and risk portfolio.
- Fluency in English required; proficiency in additional languages is highly valued in our global environment.
