YOUR ROLE
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Watch Component Buyer to support our purchasing operations by sourcing high-quality watch components.
Reporting to the Purchasing Director, you will manage supplier relationships, build sourcing strategies, and ensure timely, cost-effective procurement aligned with Maison requirements.
PLAYING YOUR PART
You will:
1. Manage RFQs: Select suppliers, negotiate prices, logistics, and quality; award business.
2. Propose cost avoidance and TCO strategies; identify and execute cost optimization initiatives.
3. Support internal stakeholders throughout projects.
4. Define and implement sourcing strategies.
5. Manage supply chain risk and ensure business continuity.
6. Reduce lead times, inventory, and logistics costs.
7. Ensure compliance with Group rules and responsible practices.
8. Develop partnerships with key suppliers, evaluate supplier performance.
9. Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
10. Contribute to the CSR roadmap.
11. Lead/participate in cross-functional projects.
12. Create and implement supplier spend/performance dashboards; follow market trends.
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL?
Success in this role will require:
13. Deep understanding of sourcing strategies, supplier performance evaluation, and relationship management.
14. 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar position ideally in the luxury industry.
15. Possesses strong communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
16. Thrive in a global team environment, demonstrating adaptability, reliability, proactivity, and autonomy.
17. Fluent in French and English, with additional language skills highly valued.
18. Proven ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines.
