Responsibilities
* Take an active role in complex financial closings on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis in accordance with IFRS and OR standards
* Engage in various activities including analysis, statistical evaluations, and project support such as efficiency improvements, automation, and system processes
* Ensure clear and timely reporting to the corporate group, manage account reconciliations, provide explanations, and maintain documentation
* Coordinate with payroll and handle all business transactions mainly related to the general ledger within the ERP system. Oversee the accrual process and strive for continuous improvement in these procedures
* Manage VAT returns for Switzerland and possibly for foreign group companies, ensuring legal compliance and reclaiming foreign VAT
* Maintain regular communication with the management team. Serve as a potential substitute for departmental management, given suitable qualifications and organizational development
* Provide interdisciplinary project support for general financial accounting tasks, including adjustments, implementations, and documentation of ics processes
Requirements
* Commercial training with advanced education in finance and accounting (e.g., accounting specialist certification or similar academic qualifications with relevant practical experience)
* Minimum of five years of professional experience in a similar role
* Strong experience in optimizing financial processes, with proven expertise in financial closings and VAT matters
* Proficiency in German and English, strong skills in MS Office programs, and possibly experience with transitioning to SAP software
* Quality-focused, diligent, precise, and able to work independently with an analytical and open-minded approach.
