Seize this opportunity as a Communications Manager for Grid Automation (GA), you will help position the business, facilitate strategy implementation, and shape reputation in line with Hitachi Energy guidelines and standards across our Business Units, as well as supporting our Global operation. You'll have experience in content strategy within a B2B marketing/communications environment with specific emphasis on energy and related verticals. You'll be familiar with effectively managing multiple projects to meet timely deadlines whilst collaborating effectively with all your stakeholders.
Responsibilities include:
Serve as a trusted member of the GA Communications team to work closely with our executives from across the business to develop communications strategies in support of their business goals
Work across the GA Marketing and Communications team in support of campaign.
Media outreach and management of opportunities with trade publications, including briefings and coordination of editorial content
Develop executive level presentations and content for internal and external audiences
Editorial input for all communication channels and content, including social media
Working with creative services and product marketing, prepare and coordinate various supporting materials for communication activities, e.g. videos, infographics, social media
Ensure branding and visual identity in coordination with HE Comms on all the communication efforts
Participate in HE Comms-level global communications community, collaborating with peers, etc.
Requirements:
Minimum 8-12 years of relevant work experience and broad communications experience
MS or BA in marketing, communications, engineering, or related field
Knowledge of the Energy industry strongly preferred
Other Qualifications:
Fluent in English language both spoken and written
Excellent writing, editing and design skills across multiple channels:
Demonstrated creative execution across the full range of communications media and formats (short-form, long-form, web, social, video, audio/podcasting, infographics, PPT presentations, executive speaking, webinars, etc.)
Strong sense of integrated marketing communications framework and how to work effectively with different programs and channels
Ability to develop interesting stories from complex topics
Experience managing an agency (and/or prior agency experience)
Experienced to work in a complex, international matrixed organization
Strong project management and time management skills
Effective interpersonal skills in active listening and rapport-building at multiple levels of decision makers, including executive and senior management
Strength in collaborating with executive leadership and other SMEs as a trusted advisor
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and deadlines
