For our Business Unit High Voltage Products in Zurich-Oerlikon, we are looking for an R&D Engineer to strengthen our team for High Voltage Circuit Breakers development. How You'll Make An Impact
* Execute product-development-related engineering activities for specific R&D projects from concept to series implementation, ensuring technical alignment with cross-functional experts and project stakeholders.
* Support the Design Lead in product development topics and ensure structured documentation of development activities.
* Plan and supervise assembly, disassembly and inspection of prototypes together with other experts.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of R&D processes and activities.
Your background
* Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related subject from a Polytechnical/Technical University.
* Working experience in an R&D environment is a plus.
* Experience in project management is a plus.
* Good know-how in 3D CAD and FEM software tools required.
* High expectations on quality of work in all regards.
* Independent, proactive and goal‑oriented personality.
* Practically oriented and hands‑on way of working.
* Self‑motivated, committed, willing to learn.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Excellent command of English and German, both written and spoken.
