Minimum qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
* 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
* 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc).
* Experience developing or launching products or technologies within artificial intelligence or Machine Learning (AI/ML).
* Experience in risk assessment, fraud detection, or policy design.
* Experience in managing ML and AI powered products.
Preferred qualifications
* Experience working with a globally distributed cross-functional team.
* Experience working with ambiguity and balancing competing priorities.
* Experience working on eCommerce platforms and products.
* Strong and articulate communicator with internal teams and external partners
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The Commerce Safety team protects the Google shopping ecosystem by streamlining legitimate merchant experiences and neutralizing merchant‑driven harm.

Responsibilities
* Lead product strategy for detecting and disrupting sophisticated fraud networks across Google Shopping ecosystem.
* Streamline and enhance merchant onboarding and verification processes to make it easier for legitimate merchants to succeed while filtering out bad actors. Set standards for merchant accountability.
* Design and implement comprehensive, proactive abuse prevention strategies. Safeguard shoppers and Google against a wide range of untrustworthy activities.
* Scale verification efforts across multiple channels and products. Ensure a consistent, secure user experience on various Google platforms.
* Leverage data to track performance, measure impact, and evolve our strategy.
