E-Bike System Project Manager
JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for an E-Bike System project manager to help us build the world's greatest E-bikes. If you have experience leading cross-functional teams towards common goals, have worked with multi-national organizations and developed an understanding of how to effectively work across time zones and cultures, and enjoy focusing on the details while driving the big picture, then we'd love to speak to you!
In this role you will lead global cross functional teams to plan and deliver E-bike system components such as drive units, bike computers and batteries. You will coordinate internal and external resources to ensure decision making channels are clearly defined, adhere to process, and drive product plan excellence.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
1. Manage multiple system component projects and their constraints: Schedule, risk, resources, scope, budget, and quality.
2. Organize samples delivery for the different testing and development teams.
3. Maintain accountability and company’s New Product Introduction (NPI) process adherence to ensure consistent ways of working across teams and projects.
4. Be the interface with the system program manager to ensure alignment on timelines and samples maturity between system components and complete system and finally the bike.
5. Be the interface with quality team to ensure delivery of high-quality products.
6. Develop project timelines with input from all teammates and gain buy in and agreement of ultimate plan.
7. Identify critical path items to maintain forward progress towards goals while handling tradeoffs throughout execution.
8. Identify, analyze, and address project risks by creating actions plans.
9. Regularly share lessons learnt.
10. Drive clear and consistent communication with stakeholders relating to project status and health.
11. Assist in continuous improvements projects to further develop the OPA and tools needed to take product development to the next level.
12. Coach, mentor and empower project team members to take positive action & accountability for their work.
13. Support project sponsors writing the project charters and Identifying resources required to successfully achieve those future projects.
WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN
14. Minimum 5 years in project management, experience with electromechanical systems development (mechanical/HW/FW) projects desired.
15. Master’s degree in engineering (electronic, mechanical, or other related fields)
16. PMP certified or equivalent is a plus.
17. Experience with Agile and SAFe is a plus.
18. Extensive experience and exposure to multiple technical product fields and manufacturing methods.
19. Experience working with multiple global locations and understanding cultural differences and needs.
20. Specific experience influencing and collaborating cross-functionally with Product Management, Design, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain
21. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills (English is a must)
22. Experience with PLM systems, task management tools (eg Jira), and Project Management software (MS Project or similar)
23. Curiosity or interest in cycling would be a plus.
