Project Management Responsibilities
1. Ensure compliance with and respect for the project contract.
2. Respond to client demands within the contractual framework to guarantee satisfaction.
3. Manage addenda for any additional client requests.
4. Plan the project timeline, resources, and budget.
5. Monitor progress and ensure deadlines are met.
6. Organize, lead, and document project meetings.
7. Implement appropriate measures to address issues.
8. Keep the client informed about project progress.
9. Manage relationships with partners and subconsultants.
10. Close and archive the project upon completion.
Financial Management
1. Invoice services according to the contract.
2. Follow up on invoice payments and send reminders as needed.
3. Prepare monthly WIP and quarterly RAF reports.
Technical Management
1. Coordinate technical options of the project.
2. Ensure the technical quality of the project.
3. Make decisions regarding technical conflicts.
Human Resources Management
1. Plan appropriate resources for the project.
2. Support the project team in their tasks.
3. Manage any disputes within the team.
Quality Management
1. Maintain and update the project file.
2. Prepare the project's Quality Plan.
3. Organize reviews as per the Quality Management System requirements.
Qualifications
1. Hydropower background with over 15 years of experience in power utilities, engineering, or consulting sectors.
2. Open-mindedness and enthusiasm for hydropower.
3. Higher education in civil engineering (B.Sc. or higher).
4. Project Management degree is a strong asset.
5. Experience managing hydropower projects, including client interactions and meeting deadlines.
6. Familiarity with international contracting (e.g., FIDIC) and EPCM.
7. Willingness to travel globally.
8. Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication skills.
9. Fluency in English; knowledge of French, German, or Italian is an asset.
