THE ROLE
We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel for a multinational pharmaceutical company in Switzerland. The Senior Legal Counsel will lead divestiture transactions, contract manufacturing matters, and high-value contract negotiations. The successful candidate will provide legal guidance on M&A, risk management, and regulatory compliance while supporting the development of legal standards and templates. Proficiency in English is essential for this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide legal advice on divestments and contract manufacturing business matters.
2. Lead M&A transactions, including deal structuring, contract drafting, and negotiations.
3. Identify and manage contractual risks and potential disputes with contract manufacturing business partners.
4. Collaborate with Tax, Regulatory, IP, IT, and Legal teams.
5. Oversee and manage external law firms for divestment-related cases.
6. Develop and implement legal strategies aligned with business needs.
7. Supervise and manage projects independently, fostering an open and collaborative legal environment.
YOUR PROFILE
8. Qualified lawyer in at least one European jurisdiction, with at least ten years of post-qualification experience.
9. Minimum of 5 years of legal experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
10. Strong knowledge of civil law and contract law.
11. Expertise in M&A and pharmaceutical agreements (including cGMP)
12. Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
13. Highly organized and efficient, with the ability to drive projects and deliver against set timelines.
14. Fluent in English (additional European languages are a plus).
