Substitute Bus Driver
Job Description:
We are seeking Substitute Drivers with a CDL to join our team. Candidates must meet the following requirements:
* Be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
* Possess a valid public passenger chauffeur's license or a commercial driver's license (CDL-S) issued by the State of Indiana or any other State.
* Meet physical requirements through a physical examination, including:
o Sufficient physical ability to operate a school bus as determined by the State school bus committee (575 IAC 1-8).
o Full normal use of both hands, both arms, both feet, both legs, both eyes, and both ears.
o Freedom from communicable diseases transmissible through airborne or droplet means, requiring isolation under 410 IAC 1-2.1.
o No mental, nervous, organic, or functional diseases impairing bus operation.
o Visual acuity of at least 20/40 in each eye with or without corrective lenses, a minimum field of vision of 150 degrees, and at least 80% depth perception.
The corporation will cover the cost for candidates to obtain their CDL-S license with a three-year commitment to driving for the organization.
Additional requirements include:
* Being of good moral character.
* Not using intoxicating liquor during school hours or while on duty.
* Not using intoxicating liquor to excess at any time.
