Mechanical Industrialization Engineer
Role objective
As a Mechanical Industrialization Engineer, you will play a key role by adding production constraints and requirements to newly designed products. You will also support the optimization of existing ones throughout their lifecycle.
Reporting lines & interactions
You will report directly to the Product Industrialization Manager within the Product Development department. Close collaboration with team members as well as cross-functional departments such as R&D, Production and Quality.
Key responsibilities
* Contribute to the development of new products to ensure readiness for industrialization
* Lead DFMEA and DFX analyses for new developments in collaboration with cross-functional teams
* Identify opportunities and propose improvements for existing products
* Ensure high-quality, up-to-date technical documentation for handover to Operations
* Analyze technical issues to support other departments and actively contribute to continuous improvement
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a specialization in industrialization or manufacturing.
Experience / Skills
* Minimum of 5 years in a similar role
* At least 3 years of experience using SolidWorks (or other CAD)
* Demonstrated background in mechanical design and production support activities
* Familiarity in large scale manufacturing environments (e.g., automotive, railway) is an asset
* Strong general knowledge of mechanical engineering
* Comfortable with technical documentation and schematic drafting
* Excellent understanding of product development cycles, manufacturing processes, and production readiness
* Well-developed organizational and prioritization skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams
* Proactive approach with a strong sense of initiative
* Practical, solution-driven mindset with a focus on results
* Ability to influence and contribute to design decisions
* Fluent in French and English
