Job description
You are responsible for supporting and maintaining the Swatch Group’s global network infrastructure. This role involves implementing network solutions, managing operational requests, and ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of network systems. As a senior expert, you will handle complex operational challenges, act as a key escalation point for critical network incidents and ensure high availability across all network layers. You collaborate closely with internal teams and international stakeholders, mentor junior engineers, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the network operations landscape.
In this role, you are responsible to:
* Operate and maintain core network infrastructure (e.g., routers, switches, internal firewalls, WLANs)
* Monitor and ensure the performance, availability, and security of network systems
* Act as the primary escalation point for complex network incidents and operational challenges (1st and 2nd level support)
* Collaborate with the Network Engineering and Architecture teams to implement and enforce best practices Maintain accurate and comprehensive network documentation and diagrams
* Work closely with local and international IT teams to ensure operational alignment and service continuity
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across network operations and automation
* Take the role of Engineer on Duty according to the planned schedule and role description
