Nestle Health Science is a leader in the science of nutrition, offering an extensive portfolio of science-based consumer health, medical nutrition, pharmaceutical therapies, and vitamin and supplement brands.
The role of Head of Medical, Scientific and Regulatory Organization (MSRO) plays a pivotal part in shaping the medical and scientific strategy for NHSc. This includes driving differentiated demand generation for the entire NHSc portfolio, accelerating innovation and research, and providing global leadership to the Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, and Pricing functions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leverage medical and scientific expertise to contribute to NHSc strategy by building a winning portfolio, driving science-based innovation, collaborating with key opinion leaders, maximizing product access, and creating value through effective pharmaceutical lifecycle management.
* Develop and implement a comprehensive medical and scientific strategy to support NHSc products and brands. Collaborate with Nestle R&D to support clinical trials and product development, identify unmet medical needs, and engage with external partners for new opportunities.
* Assist commercial teams in developing medically accurate and scientifically supported educational materials for healthcare providers, patients, and caregivers. Provide functional leadership to the Medical Affairs and Medical Science Liaison community.
* Provide strategic guidance to deliver evidence plans, including medical differentiation, best-in-class efficacy/safety data, health economics, and real-world evidence, to achieve optimal regulatory approvals and claims.
* Oversee Pharma Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls activities to ensure product quality and compliance with regulatory requirements, including preparation and submission of filings.
* Represent NHSc with KOLs and key regulatory agencies, ensuring superior positioning of NHSc within these communities.
* Define and manage departmental resource needs, including resource allocation and prioritization.
* Oversee pharmacovigilance activities to ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations.
Requirements:
* Advanced degree in life sciences required; MD a plus
* Proven experience as a Medical and Science thought leader in a business environment
* Strong knowledge of various pathologies and clinical practice experience
* Experience in the life sciences industry, particularly in Medical Nutrition and Consumer Healthcare
* Proven leadership in medical & scientific affairs, both in the US and internationally
* Established network with key opinion leaders in GI, aging, and oncology
* Skills to manage complex issues in various situations
* Excellent communication skills tailored to diverse audiences
* Willingness to challenge the organization and strive for best-in-class clinical outcomes
