Trade Operations Specialist Job
The Trade Operations Specialist is responsible for executing and controlling all purchase and sale transactions, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of physical and administrative tasks.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Contract Management: Issue and verify incoming and outgoing contracts and related amendments, as well as nominate inspectors, ship agents, and superintendents to obtain quality details.
2. Trading Updates: Keep trading fully updated and advised regarding all operations, including obtaining inspection reports and maintaining the loss control database.
3. Documentary Instructions: Issue documentary instructions and double-check in line with LC desk / Contract requirements.
4. Payment and Receipt: Ensure timely payment and receipt of funds, verifying and issuing invoices.
5. System Updates: Verify and ensure the Energy Risk Trading Management System (NOVA) is correctly and timely updated.
6. Transaction Execution: Ensure smooth and timely execution of all transactions and administrative tasks, reconciling stocks monthly and coordinating ITT and truck loading operations.
7. Collaboration: Coordinate operations with fellow operators and affiliates, providing backup for colleagues during holidays.
8. Problem Identification: Proactively identify problems and alert the Operations Manager and trading team promptly.
Requirements:
* A HES Degree in Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Law, Logistics, or maritime studies.
* A minimum of 5 years proven experience in oil trading operations, ship operations, and related logistics (maritime transport, shipping, or related fields).
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English.
Technical Skills:
* Knowledge of supply chain operations, especially marine shipping, chartering, and Incoterms.
* Ability to prioritize conflicting tasks while maintaining composure, essential for dealings with internal and external customers.
* Excellent IT skills, particularly MS Excel.

* Ability to work under deadlines in a dynamic, fast-changing environment; attention to detail, numeracy, teamwork, and communication skills are vital.
* Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to work within an international environment.
