Position: Senior Technical Author – Aerospace Documentation
Contract: Permanent contract, full-time position

Our teams work closely with leading aerospace organizations to develop high-quality engineering documentation supporting aircraft development, certification, and maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce technical aircraft documentation including descriptive, operational, and procedural content in accordance with ASD S1000D and iSpec 2200 standards
* Author and maintain Data Modules and page blocks based on engineering reports, technical drawings, and aircraft documentation
* Contribute to technical documentation for aircraft platforms such as business jets and trainer aircraft
* Develop and update technical manuals including Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM), Troubleshooting Manuals (TEM), Structural Repair Manuals (SRM), and other technical publications
* Coordinate with illustration teams to ensure the correct development of graphics and technical figures
* Collaborate with engineering departments and internal stakeholders to ensure technical accuracy and regulatory compliance of documentation
* Maintain and update documentation tracking systems and project monitoring tools
* Act as lead author for specific documentation projects, coordinating activities with engineering and project management teams
* Contribute to the planning, monitoring, and delivery of technical publication projects
Our Ideal Candidate Should Have
* Minimum 10 years of experience as a technical author producing aircraft technical documentation
* Proven experience working with ASD S1000D and iSpec 2200 documentation standards
* Technical background or formal training in aeronautical, mechanical, or electrical disciplines
* Experience using Simplified Technical English (ASD-STE) for aerospace documentation
* Strong knowledge of SGML/XML-based authoring environments within a Common Source Data Base (CSDB)
* Practical experience with tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, Oxygen XML Editor, or Arbortext Editor
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and aircraft technical documentation
* Experience analyzing complex technical subjects and converting them into structured documentation
* Ability to manage multiple documentation tasks and deadlines simultaneously
* Fluent English required, German is considered an advantage
