R&D Partners is seeking a highly skilled CAPEX Project Manager (m/f/d) to lead large‑scale capital expenditure projects within GMP‑regulated environments at our client's facility in the South West region of Switzerland. This role focuses on managing complex engineering and infrastructure initiatives from concept to execution, ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and seamless integration into manufacturing settings. Fluency in German is essential for this position.

Responsibilities
* Lead and manage end‑to‑end CAPEX projects, including scope definition, budgeting, risk planning, procurement oversight, and execution.
* Oversee engineering and construction activities for GMP‑compliant production areas, utilities, equipment installations, and site infrastructure.
* Drive project planning, feasibility studies, design reviews, cost estimates, resource planning, and scheduling.
* Manage internal and external stakeholders, including engineering partners, suppliers, contractors, QA, operations, EHS, and finance teams.
* Ensure all project phases comply with GMP, GEP, and applicable regulatory/industry standards.
* Handle project documentation management, including design specifications, technical drawings, validation‑relevant documentation, change control, and CAPEX reporting.
* Monitor project performance through KPIs, milestones, and financial forecasting, implementing corrective actions as needed.
* Coordinate commissioning, qualification, and validation (CQV) activities alongside engineering and QA teams.
* Prepare and present project updates to leadership and cross‑functional teams.
* Promote a safety‑first culture by aligning with internal EHS guidelines and legal requirements.
Key Skills and Requirements
* Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related technical field.
* Proven experience in CAPEX or engineering project management, ideally within pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, or other GMP‑regulated industries.
* Strong understanding of GMP, qualification/validation principles, and regulated manufacturing environments.
* Experience managing vendors, engineering firms, and contractors.
* Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2, lean principles).
* Excellent problem‑solving abilities with a structured and pragmatic approach.
* Fluent in German (required); English proficiency preferred.
* Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary, and international environment.
