Job Description
* Lead and develop the distributed accounting teams across international subsidiaries, fostering a culture grounded in ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* Oversee the monthly group consolidation process, ensuring full accuracy and adherence to applicable accounting standards (Local Standard/ Swiss GAAP FER).
* Prepare and present the annual consolidated financial statements, along with comprehensive reports for the executive committee and financing partners.
* Manage the relationship with external auditors and regulatory authorities; ensure timely audit completion and follow through on recommendations.
* Design, enhance, and implement accounting policies, process frameworks, and internal controls to increase transparency and operational efficiency.
* Ensure effective and timely management of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, including collections, cash allocation, and reconciliations.
* Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks (e.g., FX, interest rate, or market exposure) by implementing appropriate controls and strategies.
* Lead the Group's tax‑related workstreams, including transfer pricing reviews, VAT compliance, and the assessment of tax implications arising from strategic transformation initiatives.
Successful Applicant
* University degree in Accounting or Finance, ideally complemented by an MBA, CPA, or equivalent qualification.
* 10–15 years of experience in corporate finance, consolidation, and accounting – preferably within a retail or manufacturing environment.
* Big 4 + industry experience desired.
* Proven experience in managing consolidation processes and leading finance or accounting teams (2–9 Pax depending on experience).
* Strong knowledge of Swiss GAAP FER, Swiss financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
* Advanced proficiency with consolidation tools (e.g., Lucanet) and ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft D365).
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
* Hands‑on, proactive mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and demanding business environment.
