Working within the technology department, you will work closely with development engineers to prepare new component designs for prototype testing and production. You will also participate in design reviews and implement feedback from testing and product teams to continually improve designed components and associated processes. Within the technology department, you will also support the generation of geometry for investigating new components in numerical simulations.
Your Responsibilities
* Technical Contribution: Design turbomachinery components, including drawings, according to specification and standard processes. Contributes to design reviews and design verification, modifies design as necessary.
* Documentation: Create precise documentation for the correct implementation of components by product divisions.
* Planning & Control: Follow work plans for work in one’s area of responsibility and ensures quality deliverables on time.
* Technical Coordination & Knowledge Sharing: Facilitate communication with various internal teams pertaining to specific project design assignments or meetings.
* Processes and Tools: Uses standard processes and tools, assists in developing new processes and tools for technical solutions.
Your background
* Completed apprenticeship in construction / design engineering or equivalent.
* Experience in the field of mechanical design.
* Experience in creating technical documentation.
* Experience in design and layout process of thermal turbomachinery components is a plus.
* Knowledge in 3D CAD/CAE design tools (preferably in CATIA V5, V6 / Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE).
* Experience in macro programming or creating parametric CAD models is a plus.
* Knowledge in state‑of‑the‑art ERP systems (preferably in SAP).
* Taking initiative and responsibility, having a precise and open‑minded personality.
* Good time management skills and a self‑motivated working style.
* Fluency in German and English.
